MAT-9 (gen 2 upgraded version of the Montgo9)
DIrect from Matador Arms "Matador Arms would like to proudly introduce the MAT-9™ , the NEXT Generation blowback bufferless and monolithic (self-contained) upper receiver for lower receivers and almost all 9mm magazines.
This upper receiver is side-folding compatible and features Matador Arms® patent-pending EZTS™ “Easy Take-down System” with no tools required to break down the upper for maintenance and cleaning. The 9mm upper is machined for maximum weight reduction, slim profile, and compatibility with bolt catches and lower receivers. The upper is also built with a tapered multi-material 4-piece trunnion system to maintain mechanical accuracy and durability.
The MAT-9™ 9mm upper can be configured in two distinct ways:
Native Mode: Adaptable to the AR-9 Lower Receivers that are compatible with the following double-stack 9mm magazines:
- Glock ®
- Sig Sauer ®
- Colt® Stick Magazines
- HK® MP5™
- CZ ® Evo Scorpion™
Conversion Mode: AR-15 Lower Receiver: Requires the Matador Arms® Mag-X™ magazine conversion kit that is compatible with the following double-stack 9mm magazines:

The Matador Arms Montgo-9 Complete 9mm Upper fits most AR-15/AR-9 Lowers. This upper features a 8.5-inch barrel crafted from 4140 steel with a black nitride finish. The billet aluminum upper receiver is hardcoat anodized to maximize its strength and durability.
Compatible with any AR-15* and/or AR-9 lower (magazines for Glock® 17 & 19 OR Sig Sauer P320), the Montgo-9 gives shooters endless build possibilities while being compact and versatile.

*AR-15 lowers will require the MagX adapter (or similar) to accept 9mm pistol magazines. We recommend using a standard AR-15/AR-9 trigger system, and not binary or FRT triggers. We do not recommend running the Montgo-9 in full auto.
